The tests have been developed within the National Research Project (MIUR DM n. 582/2006 of March 24, 2006) “Internet and Schools: Problems of Accessibility, Equality Policies, and Information Management”, directed by prof. Antonio Calvani - University of Florence.

The iDCA items have been mostly created by Antonio Calvani, Antonio Fini and Maria Ranieri. Contibutions came from a number of members of the project (expecially Antonio Cartelli and Barbara Bruschi) and from external contributors (especially Paola Zamperlin, Marco Masoni, Renza Guelfi, Antonio Cartelli, Romolo Pranzetti, Bruno Rosaia). Thanks for their very valuable revisions to Manuela Delfino, Luigi Sarti, Pierfranco Ravotto and Marco Guastavigna.
Gabriele Recchia realized the elementary school version of the tests.
Martin Solly and Elizabeth Guerin made precious revisions for the English version of the items.

A special thank to the Directors and the teachers of the Italian schools that participated to the preliminary analysis phase of the iDCA tests:
Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore “Paolo Belmesseri” - Pontremoli (MS);
I.P.S.C.T.S. “C.I. Giulio” - Torino;
ITSOS “Marie Curie” - Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI)
