The Instant DCA tests (iDCA) are made up of a series of questionnaires for assessing and developing knowledge and skills related to digital competence.

The test addresses students aged 15 or 16, are free of charge and can be applied by each school by simply requesting activation. The students must already be familiar (a minimum) with computers and have a knowledge of basic language, terms such as software, internet, e-mail, and virus (for a more detailed list of prerequisites see Instructions for Teachers).

The application is not important for “assessment” in the traditional sense, but aims at stimulating the student to reflect on the themes of digital competence and supplying the teacher with possible tips for further work; at the end of the application the student may immediately check his/her own results, and receive explanations on the possible difficulties encountered.
